High Training Course in “Advanced Myology”

As last year, the IIM meeting will be part of the high training course in “ADVANCED MYOLOGY”, which is managed by the University of Perugia (2 CFU and certificate) and is reserved to trainees who are under 35 years old.

The ADVANCED MYOLOGY Course will include an additional dedicated day (October 21) with lessons and roundtable discussion with our keynote speakers: Edgar Gomes (Faculdade de Medicina da Universidade de Lisboa-Portugal), Johnny Kim (Max-Planck-Institute for Heart and Lung Research, Bad Nauheim-Germany), Elizabeth McNally (Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine, Chicago-USA) and Michael Rudnicki (Sprott Centre for Stem Cell Research, Ottawa-Canada).

N.B.Young trainees who want to participate in the “ADVANCED MYOLOGY” Course must first register through this site and subsequently, through the personal myIIM page, follow the dedicated link to the University of Perugia.

To favor the training of young researchers, IIM is looking onto the possibility to refund part of the ADVANCED MYOLOGY course registration.

Abstracts

Abstracts can be submitted exclusively through your personal myIIM area; you will need to register to have access to the latter.

The abstract submission deadline is 30 September 2021.

The abstract should be submitted by the presenting author only. Each registered participant may submit a maximum of one abstract. During the submission process, authors can indicate their preference for "poster" or "oral presentation" and one of the 7 topics: Biophysics and E-C coupling, Genetics and epigenetics, Muscle stem cells and regenerative medicine, Muscle wasting and cachexia, Exercise, Signaling and metabolism, Clinical studies and therapeutic approaches.

Abstracts guidelines

  • The title must start in uppercase and continue in lowercase, except for conventional terms (ATP, DNA, NFκB, etc).
  • If more than one author (but only in that case), underline your name (the presenting author, in whatever position you appear in the author list) and use commas to separate the names; do not use 'and' before the last author. The presenting author's first name(s) and surname should be written in full; for all other authors, write first name(s) as initials and surname in full. If more than one affiliation (but only in that case), use sequential superscript numbers to identify each institution. Example:

1Dept Biomembranes, Golgi & Veratti Univ., Pavia, Italy
2Dept Bioblast Analyses, Altmann Univ., Leipzig, Germany
  • The abstract text must be no longer than 2000 characters, spaces included.
